What is a Saniflo toilet?
A Saniflo system can be a great workaround for places where you need a toilet but you’re not close enough to the mains drainage pipe. This is great for if you’re considering an extension, or just want to add an extra toilet under your stairs or create an ensuite.
A Saniflo is often called an “up flush” toilet because unlike a conventional toilet the waste is actually flushed upwards, into the tank. A macerating device inside of the tank then activates, pulverising any waste in the tank within four seconds and pumps it to a septic or soil stack up to 150 feet away.
This uses much less water than a traditional toilet flush mechanism, and a Saniflo system will last for more than 50,000 flushes.
Because the waste pipe for a Saniflo toilet is only one inch in diameter it doesn’t require a major upheaval when it comes to installation. Our Saniflo engineers have years of experience and will be able to fit your new toilet quickly and efficiently.
Why is my Saniflo toilet not working?
There are many reasons a Saniflo may not be working correctly. If your system is fairly old the macerator may have worn out and need to be replaced. It may need to be cleaned, or the switch of the membrane may have an issue. The best thing to do is to call in the experts who can investigate what’s gone wrong and help to get things working properly in no time.
Our engineers are fully trained with years of experience in the installation and repair of Saniflo systems and macerator units.
