What is a Saniflo toilet?

A Saniflo system can be a great workaround for places where you need a toilet but you’re not close enough to the mains drainage pipe. This is great for if you’re considering an extension, or just want to add an extra toilet under your stairs or create an ensuite.

A Saniflo is often called an “up flush” toilet because unlike a conventional toilet the waste is actually flushed upwards, into the tank. A macerating device inside of the tank then activates, pulverising any waste in the tank within four seconds and pumps it to a septic or soil stack up to 150 feet away.

This uses much less water than a traditional toilet flush mechanism, and a Saniflo system will last for more than 50,000 flushes.
