BLOCKBUSTERS CONTRACTS LTDBlockbusters Contracts Ltd was established in 1984 and has been growing ever since. Based near Lewes in Sussex we presently cover Sussex, Surrey, West Kent, East Hampshire and the Southern Greater London area. We operate with over 45 staff and 25 vehicles and we handle over 60 different jobs a day from individuals and companies.
We are wholly-owned, not franchised, and we provide a total drainage service. We handle flood emergencies; maintenance; plumbing services and repairs; domestic/commercial drain unblocking; and highway excavations. Our county roots are reflected in our competitive pricing structure.

- We have been approved by Constructionline which is the private/public initiative set up by the DETR, our registration number is 34280.
Equipment and teams
We maintain the majority of plant and equipment that we use, including our own cameras for Closed Circuit Television Surveys and equipment for high pressure water jetting. We maintain our own digging teams for excavations. We also provide a re-lining service in-house to save the cost of excavation where appropriate.
Blockbusters, is regularly licensed to excavate highways and we have developed an increasing rapport with those authorities granting permission to excavate. If a connection is required to a new or existing main sewer, Blockbusters is well versed in the correct method of applying to the appropriate water and highway authorities, and the company will undertake all the necessary enquiries and arrangements. We have expertise in providing and/or servicing Saniflo/electric mascerator systems. All these facilities give us great flexibility, and allow us to work at emergency speed when required.
Diversity of experience
We have a large number of contracts for the maintenance of sewer and storm water drainage systems within commercial properties, including schools, hospitals, county courts, factories, offices, business parks, industrial estates etc. These maintenance agreements have been built up over a period of twenty years and work is carried out in full consultation with clients.
Waste disposal and environmental care
With regards to disposing of contaminants, the company is concerned with environmental impact. The company hires the services of a reputable National Company of Waste Disposal, so that sewage, chemical and petro-chemical wastes are collected and disposed of at properly licensed sites. Blockbusters Contracts Ltd are registered as a carrier of wastes under the Controlled Wastes (Registration of Carriers) Regulations 1991.
Health and safety
Health and safety is a priority within the company. Safety equipment and protective clothing/equipment is provided for all staff as required, and is replaced as soon as needed. Staff are given written guidence as to the particular hygiene requirements of a job. We provide key personnel with full training in first aid, and first aid kits are provided for each vehicle and maintained by the central office.
